PJ’s earliest memories of growing up in Winnipeg harken back to the 70’s, standing in line at the bank on a Friday afternoon so that mom and dad could cash their cheques before going shopping for groceries. PJ is proud of having grown up in Winnipeg, and graduating from one of the earliest French Immersion programs “before Portage Place opened”. Having worked in family businesses, retail, accounting and as a corporate trainer, PJ finally followed in his father’s footsteps and was accepted on Academic Merit to the University of Manitoba’s law school weeks before his 40th birthday. PJ is now helping to raise a 3rd generation lawyer as he practices in the areas Wills, Estates, Real Estate and Commercial transactions. PJ completely denies the rumor that he was too immature to qualify as a mature student.
PJ takes pride in the practice he has built through clients recommending him to friends and family, and returning years later when they choose to work with him again. In addition to representing private individuals, PJ has also acted for religious organizations, municipalities, and commercial organizations for clients both within and outside of Manitoba, and has worked with counsel in several foreign jurisdictions including Germany, India, Paraguay and the United States.
PJ enjoys marinating meat before barbequing it to perfection, reading several genres of fiction, exploring technology, and savouring a quality Scotch (as long as it isn’t peaty) and has been told he no longer enjoys water-skiing, skydiving, or various misadventures from his younger days.
